BOREK WEEKEND CONCLUDES IN AVALON

The Brendan Borek Memorial weekend concluded in Avalon on Saturday with a major surfing event.  Surfers hit the ocean in Avalon on Saturday and participated in the event, which raises money for Cape May County families who are dealing with pediatric cancer.  Many businesses in Avalon held special events during the week last week in honor of Borek, who lost his life after battling Ewing’s sarcoma.  The fund in Brendan’s name has handed out tens of thousands of dollars this year.
