Newark Mayor Cory Booker picked up a major union endorsement this week. The Communications Workers of America endorsed the Democrat ahead of the Oct. 16 special election for the U.S. Senate seat. The union represents about 55,000 workers in the state between state and local. The union previously endorsed Barbara Buono in the gubernatorial election. The most recent polling shows Booker with about an 18 point advantage.
