Newark Mayor Cory Booker announced over the weekend that he will decide before Christmas if he will challenge popular New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in next year’s gubernatorial election. Over the weekend, New Jersey State Democratic Party Chairman John Wisniewski announced that he will not challenge Christie for the state’s top office. If Booker decides not to run, democrats will be left with a second tier of candidates, none of whom will have a great shot at unseating Christie.
