Early polling numbers show a big lead for Newark Mayor Cory Booker. Booker holds a 54 to 38 percent lead over Republican Steve Lonegan. Monmouth University released its latest polling numbers Tuesday morning. These numbers are pretty consistent throughout the election process as Booker has been ahead. Booker and Lonegan will face off for the late Frank Lautenberg’s U.S. Senate seat on Oct. 16.
