BOOKER HAS BIG LEAD IN LATEST POLL

New polling data suggests that Steve Lonegan has a big hole to jump over in order to win the Oct. 16 special election. The latest Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind Poll has Newark Mayor Cory Booker with a 45 to 29 percent lead. The poll also says a majority of voters couldn’t identify one or both candidates position on a number of key issues. The election will determine who gets the late Frank Lautenberg’s seat.
