BODY IDENTIFIED, FOUND SHOT ON NORTHFIELD LAWN

Police in Northfield say the body of a man found on a lawn in the community last week was the victim of a homicide.  Police say the victim was 52 year old Franklin Dwayne Gant Smith, also known in the community as “Kevin Charm”.  Police responded to the lawn Friday morning on Virginia Avenue and found a man shot to death.  It’s still unclear how long the body was on the lawn before police arrived.
