A new proposal could see a driver fined if he or she doesn’t turn on their interior lights during a traffic stop. The bill would fine drivers $50 if the driver doesn’t do so at night, during bad weather, or when an officer asked the person to do so. The measure was passed unanimously through a legislative committee and will go to the full Senate for a vote.
