BILL WOULD ALLOW CIVIL UNIONS TO BECOME MARRIAGE

What if you got a civil union before gay marriage was legal in New Jersey? Legislation was introduced to allow people to transfer the civil union over. The measure would allow couples who got a civil union to keep it, but wouldn’t perform any new civil unions. The bill would also acknowledge gay marriages from other states in New Jersey.
