BILL TO MAKE IT ILLEGAL TO SMOKE IN CAR WITH KIDS ADVANCES

Legislation has advanced in Trenton that would make it illegal to smoke inside of a vehicle with a child. A vote 8-0 went in favor of setting a fine for adults who get caught. The violation would be a secondary offense, meaning you would have to be pulled over for something else, like speeding, reckless driving, ect. in order to be fined for the smoking violation. Anyone who violates the law could face up to a $100 fine.
