A second gay marriage bill has been introduced. This measure would send the issue to the voters via a ballot question. Republican State Sen. Christopher “Kip” Bateman presented the bill and falls in line with the wishes of the Republican Gov. Chris Christie. Democrats have been moving legislation along to make gay marriage legal without the issue going out to voters. Christie has promised to veto such a bill should it reach his desk, and would rather voters have their say in an election.
