BILL TO PERMANENTLY PLACE MORATORIUM ON FINE FOR INCIDENTAL DISCHARGES ADVANCES

A federal bill to place a permanent moratorium on fining commercial fishing vessel for accidental discharges passed the House of Representatives. Congressman Frank LoBiondo introduced the measure in November. The measure would apply to commercial fishing vessels and all other commercial vessels less than 79 feet. The legislation passed unanimously.
