BILL PACKAGE TO REGULATE UBER TYPE COMPANIES BEING ADDRESSED THURSDAY

A group of bills will be considered on Thursday that would regulate how those companies operate and ensure they are properly registered with the state. Uber is an alternative to taxis, where regular people can work for Uber and take riders to their destinations. Cab companies in other parts of the state have been upset because Uber came on the scene unregulated and unlicensed, like the taxi companies have to become.
