BIKER HIT BY ELDERLY MOTORIST ON ROUTE 47

A 28 year old Egg Harbor Township resident was struck by a vehicle driven by a 76 year old woman from North Cape May.  Middle Township Police say a car driven by Alice Hawley struck a motorcycle Sunday evening driven by Peter Karapaniotis at the intersection of Route 47 and Fourth Street.  The motorcyclist was taken to a regional hospital; Hawley was issued a summons for careless driving.
