BELL AND BOOKER SPAR IN ONLY DEBATE THIS YEAR

The race for the U.S. Senate seat saw a debate on Friday for the only time this year. U.S. Senator Cory Booker and challenger Republican Jeff Bell squared off on Friday in their only debate this year. Bell wanted up to 21 debates, but Booker only agreed on the one. Bell tried to tie Booker to President Barack Obama, while Booker went at Bell for his anti-abortion position, which goes against core women’s rights.
