Mike Beck will not seek re-election to the mayor’s post in Lower Township. Beck has told the Gazette Leader that he will not be a candidate for mayor this November. Beck was first elected to the Lower Township Council back in 1998, and says in today’s climate it is very difficult for an independent candidate to run for elected office. He was elected Mayor of Lower Township in 2008.
