BEACH WORK TO CONCLUDE IN STRATHMERE, BEGIN IN AVALON

A beach fill project is entering its final days in Strathmere, and will begin later this month in Avalon.  Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company have informed Avalon officials that several days remain in the Strathmere beach fill project, and a new effort to restore beaches in Avalon is expected to begin later in the month.  Avalon will be getting 700,000 cubic yards of new sand on its north end beaches.
