According to the Press of Atlantic City, Cape May City Solicitor Tony Monzo announced that a lawsuit with Frank Investments has been settled, that will allow the Beach Theater to be demolished. The project has been a controversial topic for over four years, with dozens of hearings in front of the Zoning Board and Historic Preservation Committee. According to the report, city council voted to approve a demolition permit for the Beach Theater. Monzo said the building was not listed on the state or national register of historic buildings. Frank Investments plans to build six condominiums on the site.
