The Cape May City Council will meet on Tuesday and could discuss a potential increase in the cost of a beach tag. Council is expected to introduce an ordinance this week that will increase the cost of a weekly beach tag by two dollars, to $15. Cape May also offers other types of beach tags, including a daily tag, three day tag, and a seasonal tag. Council could take final action on the increase of the price of the weekly tags during a meeting on January 12th. That’s when the city will have a presentation of its budget made by City Manager Bruce MacLeod.
