BEACH PATROLS TASKED WITH TOUGH CONDITIONS SATURDAY

Beach parole along the Jersey Shore were tasked with difficult conditions over the weekend.  rip currents were present along the shore on Saturday, and in some cases, beach erosion occurred along the beaches.  A stiff northeasterly wind on Saturday brought the rip currents and erosion along the shoreline.  Several rescues were made in Ocean City on Saturday, and lifeguard units along the shore kept bathers close to the shore.
