A beach fill project to help Strathmere will begin in April. Upper Township Committee discussed the project during their meeting on Monday. The project should only shut down roughly 1,000 feet of beach at a time in order to minimize the impact it will have on the area. This is especially important as the project could linger towards Memorial Day weekend, which represents the beginning of the summer season.
