BEACH FILL COMING TO LBI

A multi-million dollar beach-fill project will begin Saturday on Long Beach Island. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co. will begin the project this weekend, placing 1.2 million cubic yards of sand in the Brant Beach section of LBI. The Army Corp of Engineers will contribute $7.6 million of federal funds towards the project, scheduled for completion by June 15th.
