BEACH DREDGING CONTINUES DURING SHUTDOWN

Hurricane Sandy efforts will continue in the wake of the partial shutdown of the federal government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will continue to rebuild beaches and the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs says they still have access to billions of dollars of approved funds for relief programs. H.U.D. programs to fund rebuilding costs not covered by insurance will remain available to NJ homeowners during the shutdown.
