They might not have beach fees this year, but could Wildwood be the site of a beach bar? The Wildwood city commission is considering allowing a beach bar in the city. Wildwood officials have been in discussions with the Department of Environmental Protection about the possibility. Commissioner Pete Byron told Coastal Broadcasting that the DEP has mostly been in favor of the city’s ideas, which also include cabanas, RV’s on the beach, and additional concessions on the beach. Discussions on this issue are expected to continue at future Wildwood meetings. Currently, Atlantic City is the only area town that is allowed to have a beach bar.
