During the final day of the Boardwalk Basketball Classic, the Wildwood Catholic boys basketball team knocked off arch rival Wildwood, 68-48. Eddie McWade scored 18 points for the Crusaders , including ten in the first half. DaQuill Gibbs was the leading scorer for the Crusaders as he scored a team high 19 points. Wildwood Catholic improved to 4-2 with the victory while Wildwood dropped to 1-5.
In girls action, Wildwood won its first game of the young season by knocking off Wildwood Catholic, 30-26 at the Boardwalk Basketball Classic. Jessica Freeman scored 18 points for the Lady Warriors. Wildwood led 14-6 at the half and never looked back. Wildwood Catholic dropped to 1-4 with the loss.
