It was another banner summer weekend at the Jersey Shore. Huge crowds packed beaches from Asbury Park south to Cape May over the weekend thanks to sunshine and no rain in the forecast. Tourism experts in Cape May County are optimistic that this summer may be an all time record setter in terms of the volume of people, and money spent, in New Jersey’s beach communities. Southbound traffic on Saturday morning clogged routes 50 and 47 for several miles, heading to the shore.
