A non-binding referendum question on the Lower Cape May Regional School District has been thrown out. A judge ruled on Thursday the question wasn’t legal. Cape May wants to pull out of the district and Lower Township is fighting its wishes. Mayor Mike Beck said he blames Cape May Council for not allowing their voters to speak on the issue. The issue will likely eventually end up in the courts.
