Legislation that would reform the bail system in the state passed on Tuesday. The measure would allow judges to deny bail for the most dangerous criminals and allow low level violators free if they can’t afford bail in the first place. Some are unhappy with the measure because it doesn’t ensure those denied bail a speedy trial.
