If very bad thunderstorms arrive, you will be getting a special alert on your phone starting next Monday. The National Weather Service/Mt. Holly announced today that so called “destructive” storms will require an alert to your smart phone for your awareness. One of the thresholds is a storm with winds at 80mph or above.
