AVALON’S BEACH FILL PROJECT CONTINUES

A massive beach fill project in Avalon continues this week.  The Borough announced today that the beach fill project has moved south to 12th Street, and it will take approximately two more weeks to finish the job.  450,000 cubic yards of new sand is being pumped onto the Avalon beach from 8th Street south to 30th Street.  The Borough is paying very little for the project; the United States Army Corps of Engineers is the lead agency.
