Both Avalon and Wildwood made applications for funding to the Cape May County Open Space Program on Tuesday. Avalon is seeking funding for a brand new Surfside Park adjacent to the boardwalk, and an expansion of its bike path; Wildwood is hoping for funding for artificial fields at its Maxwell Field sports complex.
