The Avalon Office of Emergency Management unveiled a brand new emergency management website for the Borough of Avalon during the Avalon Council meeting on Wednesday. The new www.avalonemergency.org website will be used to notify the public about any emergent storm condition that impacts the Borough including severe thunderstorms, coastal flooding, blizzards, hurricanes and other weather events. It will also be used to notify the public about other non-weather related emergencies that exist in the Borough, including missing persons or issues involving the ocean and beachfront. The website will be continually updated by the Avalon Office of Emergency Management through the conclusion of the emergency event.
