AVALON TO CONDUCT SAND BACK PASSING PROJECT

Avalon officials approved a new contract that will result in over 60,000 cubic yards of sand being placed on north end beaches this spring.  The sand back passing project will restore eroded beaches in the north end of the community compromised by winter storms.  Avalon was the first community to conduct a sand moving project like this more than three decades ago.
