Avalon is completing a major beach project ahead of schedule and under budget. Mayor Martin Pagliughi announced that approximately 55,000 cubic yards of sand will be back passed to north end beaches that were damaged by winter storms by next Tuesday. Avalon saved significant money by doing the work itself, with rented equipment. This project comes in advance of a hydraulic beach fill project that will go out to bid in the coming months.
