AVALON SHOWS OFF NEW PET EVACUATION TRAILER

It could save a dog’s life and a person’s in the process. Avalon held as press conference on Thursday an unveiled a new pet evacuation trailer. The trailer is not for transport, but rather is a place that people can place their pets if they choose to evacuate to the borough’s shelter location. The shelter can’t accept pets and some people refused to leave their homes if pets aren’t accepted. Borough officials say this trailer will be available so people can feel comfortable leaving their home and knowing their pet will have a safe place to be until they can return to their home.
