AVALON SECURES PERMIT FOR BEACH BACKPASSING PROJECT

Avalon has secured the federal permit needed to conduct a beach backpassing project.  Sand will be trucked from the center of Avalon’s beaches to the north end to fill in beaches that were severely eroded during the four nor’easter storms in March.  North Wildwood is also conducting a necessary backpassing project in advance of the summer tourism and hurricane seasons.
