The Avalon School District held a pre-construction meeting on Tuesday, April 28th for a brand new outdoor track project that will be constructed on the athletic field on the north side of the Elementary School. The new project will include a fitness track, new basketball court, and activity stations and will be completed on or before July 1st. The Avalon School Board awarded a contract to Command Co., Inc. of Egg Harbor Township in the amount of $337,000. Command Co., Inc. will construct the new one eighth of a mile oval track on the athletic field. The project also includes the installation of a new basketball court, supports, backboards and rims along with several fitness stations on a rubberized safety surface.
