The Borough of Avalon will welcome thousands of people to the community on the day after Thanksgiving with its popular Festive Friday celebration. The event will be held along Dune Drive in Avalon and include Avalon’s popular free skating rink which will be set up at 23rd Street and Dune Drive. There will be many free events for kids, and Avalon’s tree lighting event at 5pm hosted by Mayor Martin Pagliughi. The American Red Cross will be accepting donations for New Jersey victims of Hurricane Sandy at the tree lighting event; Toys for Tots will accept new toys for local families as well.
