AVALON POWER OUTAGE POSTPONED, LIKELY SOMETIME NEXT WEEK

A power outage that was scheduled for Tuesday in Avalon will not happen, and will likely occur sometime next week. Atlantic City Electric decided to postpone a 20-minute outage in the Borough scheduled for Tuesday afternoon so a substation could be de-energized and power re-routed through the community. The utility is constructing a new substation in the Borough that will be completed before Memorial Day weekend, 2016.
