A major promotion in the Avalon Police Department last night. Jeffrey Christopher was promoted to the rank of Captain during the Avalon Borough Council meeting. Christopher replaces Dave McCallion, who retires effective May 1st. Also promoted last night was Sean McNair to the rank of Sergeant.
