AVALON POLICE INVESTIGATING ASSAULT, ROBBERY

An aggravated assault took place over the holiday weekend in Avalon. Police responded to the report of an armed robbery on the 100 block of 24th St. The female victims said the two men walked past them and then came up from behind them and produced a knife. The man took money from the victims and was able to escape before police arrived.
