The Avalon Police Department announces the recent arrests of three Cape May County juveniles on various drug and obstruction charges.
On Saturday, January 1, 2011 Ptlm. Sean McNair observed a suspicious vehicle in the 4300 block of Fourth Avenue. Upon approaching the vehicle, one occupant ran from the scene and was later apprehended along Pelican Drive by Ptlm. Matthew Sykes.
Investigation of the matter resulted in the following charges:
1. A 17 year old male being charged with Possession of marijuana, Possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
2. A 16 year old male was charged with Possession of marijuana, Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Obstruction of Justice, and Hindering apprehension.
3. A 14 year old male was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three juveniles were released to the care of their legal custodian pending action by Family Court.
