AVALON OFFICIALS DISCUSS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WITH GIRL SCOUTS

Members of the Avalon emergency management community took their message on the road to the Nature Center of Cape May on Monday.  Avalon Mayor Marty Pagliughi spoke to about 85 girl scouts about storms and what to do during an evacuation.  Longtime local meteorologist Jim Eberwine also addressed the girls and talked about the types of storms that can affect the Jersey Shore.  The goal was to educate children about storms and evacuations at an early age.
