AVALON MAN ARRESTED IN AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

An Avalon man was arrested for an assault that sent another to the hospital. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Daeniel McMichael, of Ocean Drive, in Avalon. McMichael told authorities he engaged in a physical altercation with the victim. The 32-year-old man from New York was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is listed in critical condition from the Aug. 10 assault. McMichael is being held on $50,000 bail.
