The Avalon Borough Council approved some promotions during its meeting on Wednesday night. Council approved the promotion of Georgann Berardis to the position of Borough Clerk; she replaces longtime clerk Amy Kleuskens. Jeff Christopher was promoted to the rank of Captain in the Avalon Police Department. At the next Council meeting in February, a draft of a new ordinance that would regulate resort houses could be introduced by Council.
