AVALON INTRODUCES ZERO TAX INCREASE BUDGET, MOVES TOWARDS ELIMINATION OF DEBT

Avalon’s Borough Council introduced a new budget Wednesday night that not only includes a zero increase on the tax rate, but moves the community greatly towards the elimination of all long term debt.  Mayor Marty Pagliughi says the budget holds the line on taxes, beach fees, and water and sewer rates and greatly pays down debt while maintaining a healthy surplus.  The budget is up for consideration on April 10th.
