AVALON HOLDS PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING FOR BEACH FILL

Avalon officials met with a dredging company on Wednesday to discuss an upcoming beach fill project in the Borough.  Mayor Marty Pagliughi presided over a meeting with Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company who will pump 700,000 cubic yards of sand onto the Avalon beachfront, mostly in June.  By contract, the project must be completed by June 29th.  Great Lakes will arrive in Avalon after a dredge does some emergency work in Strathmere.
