Avalon held a pre-construction meeting for its upcoming back bay dredging project on Monday. Borough, state, and federal officials met with Mobile Dredging & Pumping Co. to discuss the project which will dredge 120,000 cubic yards of materials from various Borough and State channels. The actual dredging work will get underway around Thanksgiving weekend and will be conducted 24 hours a day, six days a week. It’s possible the dredging project will conclude by the end of 2015.
