AVALON HOLDS PRE-BID MEETING ON DREDGING PROJECT

Avalon held a pre-bid meeting this week on its big upcoming dredging project.  Borough Administrator Scott Wahl and engineer Tom Thornton briefed Council on the meeting which showed plenty of interest from companies who are interested on bidding on the project which could take up to three years to complete due to seasonal restrictions imposed by the state.  Bids will be opened on October 17th and a contract could be awarded at the October 22nd council meeting.
