The Borough of Avalon kicked spring into high gear Saturday with its annual Spring Kickoff Weekend. The Borough hosted many events throughout town, including a community wide yard sale, paper shredding day, hoagie/plant sale at the firehouse, and the annual Avalon Police Department bicycle auction. On Saturday evening, a big band dance will be held at the Avalon Community Hall featuring the Bill Newman Orchestra.
