Avalon has hired a new recreation director. Chuck McDonnell has been hired as the new recreation director in Avalon. McDonnell is a former Athletic Supervisor at Richard Stockton College and used to serve as recreation director in Middle Township. The Borough also gave final approvals for a bond that could total $12 million for an anticipated beach fill project for the north end of the community.
